The Thomaston-Upson School System has partnered with Glimpse K12, a leading provider of Education Return on Investment tools in efforts to monitor instructional funds and to identify those resources resulting in the greatest academic growth among Thomaston-Upson students.

Superintendent of Thomaston-Upson Schools, Dr. Larry Derico, is responsible for providing sound fiscal management while ensuring quality educational opportunities and high student achievement. He stated, “Glimpse K12 will allow us to do our jobs more effectively by making informed, data-driven decisions about instructional purchases. Proof that our spending is categorically improving student academic outcomes takes instructional accountability, financial stewardship, and financial transparency to a new level.”

Glimpse’s suite of applications captures, tracks, and manages instructional resources for administrators and teachers. The platform analyzes the impact of these resources and creates reports to guide stakeholders in maximizing student outcomes around what works best for students. These insights help administrators eliminate ineffective spending and double down on things that matter most for student success.

Derico continued, “The Glimpse K12 platform will empower our district and school leaders, teachers, and school board with the knowledge that we must hold ourselves and our resources to the highest of standards; we must prioritize resources that improve student achievement and eliminate those that do not.  Glimpse K12 will be a major component in reaching our shared district mission, which is Excellence in education. Every individual, every day.”

The Thomaston-Upson School District serves over 4,100 students across six schools.  With the increased focus on tracking and managing educational funding across the state and nation, school districts are looking to Glimpse to help manage the return-on-investment process.
